Bulls Host Eastern and Central Michigan for Weekend MACtion

BUFFALO, N.Y. – University at Buffalo women's volleyball team (13-10, 5-6 MAC) will host the Eastern Michigan Eagles (4-19, 3-8 MAC) and the Central Michigan Chippewas (14-8, 7-4 MAC) this Friday and Saturday at Alumni Arena. Friday's match will begin at 6 p.m. as Saturday will start at 4 p.m. Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+.

Currently, the Bulls are on the outside looking in for a spot in the MAC Tournament. UB is tied for seventh with Western Michigan at 5-6 in conference play. Eastern Michigan comes into Friday's matchup in ninth as Central Michigan is currently one spot ahead of the Bulls for sixth place. It's a big weekend for the Bulls as only the top-6 teams will advance to the MAC Tournament.

During her spectacular season, Mandy Leigh is just 64 assists away from 2,000 in her career. She is currently 10^th in program history just 238 behind Cheryl Glose (1998-01) for ninth all-time.

Last week, UB pulled out two major victories over Kent State in sweeping fashion. The Bulls were dominant against the Golden Flashes as they notched two wins to move up the standings.

Katin Trebichavska leads the Bulls with 213 kills on the season. Abby Leigh is second on the team with 196 kills with an overall hitting percentage of .384, good for second in the MAC and 35^th in the NCAA. A. Leigh has stacked up 284.5 points this season, good for 3.42 points per set which leads the team. At the net, A. Leigh has been a force to be reckoned with. She is 41^st in the NCAA and 3^rd in the MAC with 95 total blocks. Libero Maria Futey has 256 digs on the season with 3.08 digs per set. Mandy Leigh continues to rack up assists as she's up to 750 (10.56 assists per set). M. Leigh is 30^th in the NCAA and 4^th in the MAC in assists per set.
