
Bulls Take Down Bobcats in Five Set Thriller

ATHENS, Ohio – The University at Buffalo women's volleyball team (11-9, 3-5 MAC) was victorious over the Ohio Bobcats on Friday evening. This marks UB's first win over the Bobcats since the 2018 season.
The Bulls took down the Ohio Bobcats (10-8, 4-3 MAC) in five sets, 27-29, 25-19, 22-25, 25-21, 15-12. The Bulls' finished with an overall hitting percentage of .222. Ohio was held to .188. In the match there were 29 ties and 17 lead changes.
Defensively, Maria Futey finished the match with 19 digs and was 35-for-36 on receptions. UB had 7.0 blocks on the night.
Cali Assaley lead the Bulls with 21.0 points while adding a team high 19 digs and .472 hitting percentage. Katrin Trebichavska added 11 kills as Abby Leigh, Emma Gielas, and Courtney Okwara added 10 kills each. Mandy Leigh had an astonishing match high 55 assists.
