Milla Malik Named To All-MAC Second Team

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo freshman outside hitter Milla Malik was named to the All-MAC Second Team as well as the league's Freshman Team, the Mid-American Conference announced as part of their postseason volleyball awards.
Despite missing the first 17 sets of the year, Malik led the Bulls with 226 kills, averaging 3.77 per set. She had a stretch of 13 straight matches in double figures in kills, including a career high 23, twice. Malik hit .229 for the year, hitting .400 or better four times. She recorded six double-doubles on the year.
The 23 kills both came in four-set matches as Malik was just four kills shy of the Buffalo school record for kills in a four-set match. At the conclusion of the regular season, Malik's 3.77 kills per set were sixth in the Mid-American Conference as were her 4.09 points per set.
Malik becomes UB's first All-Freshman selection since Andrea Mitrovic in 2017.
