Burke Earns MAC Co-Men’s Outstanding Field Performer of the Year Award

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced the final 2021 MAC Indoor Track & Field Championship awards Tuesday afternoon. Senior high jumper Brandon Burke, who won the high jump with a height of 2.19-meters at this year's championships, has earned Co-Men's Outstanding Field Performer of the Year. Kent State's Jake Wickey was also given this honor for his championship win in the weight throw.

Burke joins Buffalo field athlete royalty as he is the fourth UB field athlete to earn this award for the indoor season. The most recent Bull to have this honor was Josh Gali in 2017. Jonathan Jones (2013) and Mike Morgan (2014) have also won this award. Burke is currently ranked sixth in the NCAA in the high jump.
