Barberic Repeats as MAC East Player of the Week

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo senior midfielder Marcy Barberic was named the Mid-American Conference East Division Offensive Player of the Week for the second straight week, the league announced on Wednesday.
Barberic led Buffalo to a 2-1 victory over Bowling Green in UB's lone game of the week on Sunday. She tied the game in the 36th minute as she came up the sideline and fired a shot back across the box into the bottom left corner of the net. She then knocked home the game winner in the 50th minute. Barberic leads the Bulls with four goals and an assist through three games this season.
A native of Grand Island, NY, Barberic was a second-team All-MAC and third-team All-Midwest Region selection last season.
The Bulls are 2-1 on the season and are in Akron for a clash with the Zips on Thursday at 7pm.
