Trio of Bulls Named to All-Midwest Region Team

BUFFALO, NY - University at Buffalo women's soccer standouts Marcy Barberic, Payton Robertson and Katherine Camper were named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's All-Midwest Region Team on Monday. Barberic was named to the first team while Robertson earned second team honors and Camper was named to the third team.
"We are so proud of these three amazing women," said head coach Shawn Burke. "The hard work and dedication that they put in day after day deserves to be recognized. It says so much about our players that year after year they are recognized on the national stage."
Barberic earned first team honors for the second straight year. The team captain was also named to the All-MAC first team for the second straight year after recording 10 goals and five assists in 15 games this season while extending her career PK record to a perfect 11-for-11. She led the MAC in goals per game (0.62), points per game (1.56), shots per game (3.94), shots on goal per game (1.94) and penalty kicks (1.000) while ranking second in total goals (10), total points (25) and game-winning goals (4). The Grand Island, NY native cemented herself as one of the best players to ever where the blue and white as she finishes her career ranked sixth place in program history in career goals (33), assists (17) and total points (83).
Robertson earned regional honors for the first time in her career after also being named to the All-MAC First Team earlier this fall. The Toronto, Ontario native rarely came off the field for the Bulls this season, making her impact known on both ends of the field. She led the team in tackles, aerial duals and interceptions while helping lead the UB defense to eight clean sheets on the season and a goals against average of 0.96. Robertson was a major factor on set pieces, with her lone goal of the year being a game-winning header off a corner kick to lead the Bulls to a double overtime win over Central Michigan in the MAC Tournament quarterfinals.
Camper also earned a spot on a regional team for the first time in her career. She started all 20 games for the Bulls this season, scoring three goals while recording a team-best and career-high six assists while taking 43 shots.
