BOWLING GREEN, OH – The University at Buffalo volleyball team dropped their second straight match to the defending league champions on Saturday as the Bulls fell at Bowling Green, 3-0.
The Falcons took the contest 25-20, 25-18, 25-18 as Bowling Green outhit the Bulls .262 to .118. BG led nearly through out the entire evening as there were just three ties all together and just one lead change all match.
Sophomore Milla Malik led the Bulls with a double-double as she had 11 kills and a team-high 14 digs. Malik had just two errors, hitting .391. She also chipped in two service aces.
Maria Futey and Courtney Okwara each added six kills and Stacia Gollogly had four. Mandy Leigh finished with three kills and dished out 26 assists. Leigh joined Malik in double figures in digs with 11.
UB finished with 6.0 total blocks led by four from Olivia DeBortoli and three from Futey.
The Bulls will come back to Western New York and begin a season-long five-match homestand beginning on Friday night when Buffalo hosts Ball State.
