
Sanks And Prokudina Earn All-MAC Honors

BUFFALO, NY - Seniors Rachel Sanks and Polina Prokudina were honored by the Mid-American Conference on Wednesday afternoon as Sanks was named an All-MAC First Team selection, while Prokudina was named honorable mention. The teams were voted on by the league's 12 head coaches.
Sanks averaged 3.37 kills per set during MAC play, recording double figures in kills in 11 of the final 12 matches. She recorded 20 or more kills in four of the last seven matches, including a career high 24 kills in Buffalo's five-set win over Miami. This has been the best season of Sanks' career as she has set career highs in kills and digs.
Prokudina led the Bulls in kills in league play with 227 kills, averaging 3.55 per set, which is fourth in the MAC. The Moscow, Russia native ended league play with double figures in kills in the last eight matches, including a stretch of three straight match with 20 or more kills, including 26 kills at Ball State.
This is the first time that Sanks has been honored by the league in the postseason while Prokudina was honored for the second straight season.
Sanks, Prokudina and the rest of the Bulls will now turn their attention to the MAC Tournament which begins on Thursday night. The seventh-seeded Bulls will face #6 Akron in the first round at 7pm in Bowling Green, OH.
