Women's Soccer Unveils 2018 Schedule

FULL 2018 SCHEDULE
BUFFALO, NY – Fifth-year head women's soccer coach Shawn Burke announced the Bulls' 2018 schedule on Tuesday afternoon which boasts nine home matches at UB stadium and nine road tilts.
"We are looking forward to some new opponents in 2018 that we've never seen before" stated head coach Shawn Burke. "We are always looking to measure ourselves in the region and put together the best possible schedule to prepare us for conference play."
The 2018 regular season will open up with four straight road matches for the Bulls as their season opening match will take place in New York City against Big East member St. John's on August 20 at 7:00 pm. The Bulls will then head to Youngstown State on August 24 at 7:00 pm before wrapping up their four-game road swing to open the season with a match against Cornell on August 31 at 7:00 pm and a match on the road against Albany at 1:00 pm.
Buffalo will welcome Big 4 foe Canisius to UB Stadium on September 6 for their home opener as they will face off with the Golden Griffins at 7:00 pm. St. Francis (PA) will then come to Buffalo on Sunday, September 9 for a 12:00 pm match before the Bulls close out their three-game home stand against Big 4 opponent St. Bonaventure on September 14 at 7:00 pm inside UB Stadium.
Mid-American Conference play will open up on the road for the Bulls as they head to DeKalb, IL to take on Northern Illinois on Friday, September 21 at 7:00 pm before going to Kalamazoo, MI to play the Western Michigan Broncos on Sunday, September 23 at 1:00 pm.
The Bulls will host their first conference weekend starting on September 28 as the Central Michigan Chippewas come to town for a 7:00 pm showdown. On Sunday, September 30 the Bulls will welcome the Eastern Michigan Eagles for a conference match at 12:00 pm.
After a road match against Kent State on October 4 at 7:00 pm, the Bulls will return to UB Stadium on October 7 for a MAC east showdown against Ohio starting at 12:00 pm.
UB will wrap up their road portion of their schedule on October 12 and 14 as they head to Miami (OH) and Ball State, respectively. The match against Miami (OH) will begin at 4:00 pm while the match against the Cardinals will kick off at 2:00 pm.
The final three matches of the regular season for UB will take place on their home field, a place the Bulls have thrived over the past four seasons under head coach Shawn Burke. On October 18, the Bulls will welcome the defending MAC Champion Toledo Rockets to UB Stadium for a showdown starting at 7:00 pm under the lights. Bowling Green will come to town on October 21 for a 12:00 pm match before the season concludes on October 25 with the Bulls welcoming Akron at 3:00 pm.
Buffalo wrapped up their 2017 campaign with a 7-9-3 overall record and a 5-4-2 MAC mark as they advanced to their fourth straight MAC Tournament and fell in the quarterfinals. The Bulls return three of their top four scorers from a season ago and will add 11 newcomers to a very talented group of student-athletes.
