Spring Schedule Announced For Women's Soccer

BUFFALO, NY – First year head coach Shawn Burke announced the 2014 Buffalo women's soccer spring schedule on Friday afternoon. The schedule consists of five matches against some of the best local college programs.
The Bulls spring slate is highlighted by a match against the Western New York Flash of the National Women's Soccer League on Friday, March 14 at the Sahlen's Sports Park at 3:00 pm. The Flash are the defending NWSL Champions and they play in Elma, NY. The Bulls will be up against a star-studded roster that includes one of the greatest US National team players of all-time, Abby Wambach.
The game against the Flash is open to the public and will be free of charge. Due to limited spectator seating, the Flash are asking for all fans planning on attending the game against the Bulls to pre-register to reserve admittance. Fans can do so here.
Buffalo will open up their spring season on Friday, March 7 at 9:00 pm at the Sahlen's Sports Park as they will take on local rival, St. Bonaventure.
The Bulls will then play two matches in the month of April as they will travel to take on Edinboro on Saturday, April 12 at 10:00 am and then travel to cross-town rival Canisius for a class with the Golden Griffins on Wednesday, April 23 at 8:30 pm.
UB will close out their spring slate with a game against the Gannon Lady Knights at UB Stadium. The date of the match has not yet been confirmed.
All games will be open to the public and will be free of charge.
