
Bulls Drop Road Contest At Eastern Michigan, 3-0

YPSILANTI, MI – The University at Buffalo volleyball team hit the road for the first time in three weeks, but was unable to come away with the victory, falling to Eastern Michigan, 3-0. The loss drops Buffalo's record to 9-14 on the season and 2-7 in the MAC.
The Eagles took the contest 25-19, 25-16, 25-22 as they outhit Buffalo .246 to .132. UB did have a solid night at the net, recording nine total blocks.
Senior Abby Niekamp led the way for Buffalo with 12 kills, while sophomore Carissa McKenna added six kills and freshman Liz Scott had five. Sophomore Dani Reinert had a team-high 28 assists, adding a match-best three aces.
Defensively, sophomore Kelly Svoboda had 17 digs, while Dana Musil added 10. Niekamp and McKenna each had four blocks, while freshman Chelsea Toth added a career-high three blocks.
The Bulls remain on the road tomorrow night when they face Central Michigan at 7:00 pm.
