Before Buffalo: Wangolo, a 5-7 guard from Ottawa, Ontario, comes to Buffalo from Capital Courts Academy where she was a teammate of incoming UB freshman Ella Take. In the 2021-22 season she appeared in 20 games, averaging 10.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 5.0 steals per game while playing 30 minutes per contest. She helped guide her team to an Ontario Championship title, including scoring a season-high 19 points in the state quarterfinal game. She followed that up with another solid performance last year as she appeared in 12 games, averaging 12.0 points, 4.0 assists and 5.5 steals per game. Before joining Capital Courts Academy, she played basketball and ran track at Cairine Wilson Secondary School. Wangolo also adds to the international experience of the Bullsβ roster as she played on the Ontario Provincial U17 team that won a gold medal at the 2022 Canadian Basketball championship before qualifying to play on the Ontario Provincial U18 squad that won bronze at the Canada Summer Games.
