Prior To UB: Has spent the last 10 years playing for the Brantford Bobcats…was a member of the Canadian Junior National team during the summer of 2015, helping Canada to its highest finish at the Junior World Championships…was named the Senior Female Athlete of the Year by the Delhi District Secondary School…while also winning two provincial gold medals…has also had success in basketball, badminton, tennis, soccer, and track and field.
Personal: Born September 6, 1997…daughter of Steve and Nancy Gilbert…favorite athletes are LeBron James, Dalton Pompey, and Marcus Stroman…favorite kind of music is country…chose UB because “it felt like home” when she saw the campus and met the coaching staff…lists her greatest athletic experience as playing for the Junior National Team as it was a dream come true to represent her country…lists her dream as a college athlete as winning a MAC Championship…would like to set the single-season stolen base and RBI records at UB…if she could visit anywhere in the world, it would be Australia, Hawaii or California.
