2012-13: Posted a 3-5 singles record with a 1-3 doubles mark during the fall tournament season, and went 1-1 in singles and 0-1 in doubles during the dual meet season... Reached the Ben Franklin flight consolation final at the Penn Invitational, finishing with a 2-2 mark that included a third-set super-tiebreaker win in the semifinal round.
2011-12: Finished with a 5-5 singles record. Saw action during the spring at fifth and sixth singles playing two matches in both slots. Did not play doubles during the spring season. Posted a 4-2 singles record and was 1-2 in doubles during the fall. Went 2-1 in the D singles flight at the Princeton Invitational. Finished 2-1 in singles and paired with Alex Kalinin for a doubles victory at the UB Invitational.
2010-11: Joined the Bulls for the spring 2011 season and finished 10-5 in singles action. Played at fourth and fifth singles. Had a five-match win streak during the middle of the year that included a super-tiebreaker win over Binghamton’s Ruben Haggai for UB’s lone point in a 6-1 loss to the Bearcats.
Previous college: Attended the University of Oklahoma. Did not see action with the Sooners
High school: Earned four letters and captained one season at Roslyn High School for coach Kerri McMahan. Finished fourth at the New York State Championships. Earned all-state and county honors.
Personal: Born August 30, 1991. Son of Barry and Gwen Simon. Has one brother (Andrew). Lists winning the NABF baseball world series as his greatest athletic experience and hometown coach Mihia Grecu as his greatest athletic influence. Majoring is psychology.
