Brian Wolff joined the University at Buffalo Division of Athletics in November 2005 and in 2019 he was promoted to his current title of Director of Athletic Communications. At UB, Wolff is the primary contact for men's basketball, volleyball,and men's and women's tennis, while also serving as the secondary contact for football. In addition to those roles, Wolff also oversee's the department budget and assists in the day-to-day operations of the office. Wolff also maintains the athletic department's website and sits on the University's Social Media Inner Circle.
In 2009, Buffalo’s athletic communications staff received the Super 11 Award by the Football Writers Association of America as a sports information department that exemplified excellent media relations.
Wolff was hired in 2005 after serving as an undergraduate assistant at UB during his time in college. He graduated from the University at Buffalo with a degree in Communications in May 2005. Wolff has since completed his Master's in Sports Management with a concentration in Athletic Administration from Southern New Hampshire University in March 2014.
A member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), Wolff currently lives in Tonawanda with his wife, Jenine.
