2011: Served as the team’s main defensive backup, playing on the left side of the infield for 14 games (three starts)... had an RBI double in his first career at bat (2/26)... in a mid-week start against Niagara, Carone went 1-3 with a walk (5/4)... two of his three total hits for the season went for doubles.
Previous School: Spent two seasons at Northern Oklahoma Junior College after redshirting as a freshman at Oral Roberts... played this past summer for the Lima Locos in the Great Lakes Collegiate League.
High School: Was a four-year letterwinner at John Jay High School Cross River... in 2007, he was named to the Under Armour High School Preseason All-American team.
Personal: Born October 5, 1988... son of Donald and Leslie and has one sister, Lindsay... wll major in history with the hope of one day teaching... also enjoys playing tennis... favorite athletes are Cal Ripkin Jr. and Josh Hamilton... chose UB because of the baseball program and the great academics... if he could go anywhere in the world, it would be Argentina.
