PROVIDENCE, RI - The University at Buffalo men's tennis team (4-3) rallied from 3-0 down to upset Brown, 4-3, on Sunday afternoon.
After dropping the doubles point and matches at first and fifth singles, the Bulls began to fight back as Onder Balci put the Bulls on the board with a 6-3, 6-4 win at third singles and Faiz Nasyam followed with a 7-5, 6-3 victory at six singles. Minjae Kim evened the match with a 6-4, 7-6 win at fourth singles and then Theodoros Mitsakos clinched the match with a 7-6, 6-4 victory at second singles to complete the comeback.
"Amazing weekend for the Bulls," said head coach Lee Nickell. "I am very proud of our group. Winning two tight matches in two tough facilities is exceptional. Looking forward to competing against Binghamton and St. Bonaventure next weekend."
Buffalo returns to action on Friday, February 13 as they host Binghamton at Miller Tennis Center as part of a doubleheader with the UB women at 1pm.
