Bulls Travel to Virginia for JMU Invite

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo softball team (4-11, 0-0 MAC) are back at it this weekend as they'll participate at the Lakeside Book Company Invitational hosted by James Madison. First pitch for the Bulls is set for 1 p.m. against the Hofstra Pride (1-7) and 3:30 p.m. against James Madison (6-6) on Friday.

The Bulls' schedule this weekend will be as follows:

Friday, Feb. 27 at 1 p.m. vs. Hofstra
Friday, Feb. 27 at 3:30 p.m. at James Madison
Saturday, Feb. 28 at 11 a.m. vs. Hofstra
Saturday, Feb. 28 at 4 p.m. at James Madison (ESPN+)
Sunday, March 1 at 11 a.m. vs. Hofstra

The Bulls went 2-3 last weekend at the Gulf Coast Classic hosted by FGCU. Reagan Terwilliger led the Bulls in batting average (.400), hits (6), runs scored (6) and triples (1) as they picked up wins against reigning BIG EAST Champion UConn and FGCU. In the circle, Olivia Russ picked up both wins as she tossed two complete games. Bella Smithson drove in six runs on the weekend as she went 6-for-17 including a double and a home run.

Emily Gorman holds the UB career batting average title with a .389 average.
Bella Smithson has thrown out six runners this season, the fifth most in the NCAA.
Bri Delaney leads the team with 13 RBIs as both Bella Smithson and Nicole Allen each have nine.
Bella Smithson and Bri Delaney have a team-high four extra base hits. Both of which recording three doubles and a home run.
Lily Lauck has a career total of 82 walks, this is the third-most in program history.
Abbey Nagel is fifth in program history with 35 career doubles.
Reagan Terwilliger and Emily Gorman lead the team with eight stolen bases each. This ranks third in the MAC and 35^th in the NCAA.
Reagan Terwilliger is one of 47 players in the country that has not been caught stealing this season. She's 8-for-8 on the year on stolen bases.
Buffalo's pitchers have allowed a conference best 10.68 hits allowed per seven innings, good for 46^th in the NCAA.

SERIES: Hofstra leads, 3-0
NOTES: Alanna Morse leads the Pride with a .385 batting average as she's picked up 10 hits so far, including a trio of doubles. Morse also leads the team with four RBIs. Dahlia Palacio has also picked up 10 hits to go with her .333 batting average. Emma Brennan has appeared in five games including one start in the circle. She has a 1.91 ERA through 11.0 innings pitched.

NOTES: Madison Edwards holds a .486 batting average and a .657 slugging percentage. Emily LeGrand has a team-high 11 RBIs and three home runs this season. Kirsten Fleet has a 4-1 record to go with her 5.01 ERA in 29.1 innings pitched.
