Bulls Defeat Mercyhurst 6-1 on Monday

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team (12-1) defeated Mercyhurst 6-1 on Monday afternoon at Miller Tennis Center.
The Bulls took the doubles point as Sarah Hartel and Julia Laspro won 6-1 at second doubles, Deanne Choo and Sofia Zagumennova picked up a 6-1 victory of their own at third doubles and Esmee Andresen and Maria Glowacka won 6-2 at first doubles to put UB up 1-0.
Choo continued her strong play in singles as she rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 win at six singles, Blanca Berges cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 win at fourth singles and Laspro clinched the match for UB with a 6-4, 6-1 victory at second singles. Liv Roestel picked up a 7-5, 6-0 win at third singles and Zagumennova rounded out the scoring with a 6-2, 6-2 win at fifth singles.
Buffalo returns to action on Friday, February 27 at Cleveland State.
