Bulls Sweep IUP on Saturday

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team (11-1) earned its second straight sweep with a 7-0 win over IUP on Saturday afternoon at Miller Tennis Center.
The Bulls took the doubles point as Esmee Andresen and Maria Glowacka won 6-2 at first doubles and Sarah Hartel and Julia Laspro earned a 6-3 win at third doubles to give UB a 1-0 lead.
UB continued to roll through singles action as Laspro rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 win at second singles and Liv Roestel also cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win at fourth singles. Blanca Berges won 6-3, 6-1 at fifth singles, Sofia Zagumennova won 6-2, 6-2 at six singles, Andresen picked up a 6-1, 6-3 victory at first singles and Glowacka rounded out the scoring for UB, overcoming a dropped first set to win 3-6, 6-2, 10-5.
Buffalo returns to action on Monday, February 16 when they host Mercyhurst at Miller Tennis Center at 3pm.
