Bulls Complete Weekend Sweep with 6-1 Win Over Duquesne

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team (6-0) capped off the weekend a 6-1 win over Duquesne on Saturday afternoon at Miller Tennis Center.
The Bulls took the doubles point as Esmee Andresen and Maria Glowacka cruised to a 6-1 win at first doubles and Sarah Hartel and Julia Laspro followed with a 6-2 victory at third doubles to give UB a 1-0 lead in the match.
Buffalo continued their strong play in singles action as Laspro rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 win at third singles, Glowacka picked up a 6-4, 6-2 win at second singles, Hartel battled to a 7-5, 6-3 victory at fourth singles and Andresen overcame a dropped first set to win 6-7, 6-1, 6-2 at the first position. Freshman Sofia Zagumennova rounded out the scoring for UB with a 6-1, 6-3 win at six singles.
Buffalo is back in action on Friday, February 6 as they host Niagara and Binghamton in a doubleheader at Miller Tennis Center starting at 12:30pm.
