Bulls Stumble on Sunday to Toledo

BUFFALO, N.Y. β Unlike yesterday's doubleheader, it was a low scoring affair at Nan Harvey Field as the University at Buffalo softball team (12-28, 7-12 MAC) fell to the Toledo Rockets (14-27, 7-12 MAC) in their series finale, 3-1.

Toledo scored 3 runs on 4 hits as the Bulls finished with just 2 hits on the day with 1 run.
Β
The long ball was the story line of the day as all of the runs came from a homer.
Β
Toledo took a 1-0 lead in the third inning on a solo shot to left. They added to their lead in the fourth inning with a 2-run home run to center field. Trailing 3-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Isabella Smithson hit her fifth home run of the season to make it a 3-1 ball game.

That was all the scoring in the game as both teams struggled to find the field of play.

The Bulls are back in action on Wednesday when they host the Canisius Golden Griffins at 1 p.m. for a doubleheader at Nan Harvey Field.
