Bulls Welcome Cleveland State to Alumni Arena for WNIT Fab 4

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's basketball team (27-7, 13-5 MAC) welcomes the Cleveland State Vikings to Alumni Arena for a WNIT Fab 4 contest on Wednesday at 6pm.
This is the first time the Bulls will play a game in the month of April and "Game 36" marks the most games played in a season in program history. UB has now won three straight postseason games for the first time in program history.
The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ with Matt Mattia (play-by-play) and Jared Zeidman (color) announcing and can be heard on 1520 AM and the Varsity Network with Jack Kreuzer on the call.
This is the fifth overall meeting between Buffalo and Cleveland State with the Vikings owning a 4-1 series advantage. The teams last played on November 15, 2010, at Alumni Arena.
Buffalo is 28-7 overall after defeating Rutgers 71-64 in the Great 8 on Sunday. Fifth year guard Chellia Watson turned in another stellar performance as she scored a game-high 28 points, including 11-of-12 from the free throw line. Sophomore Kirsten Lewis-Wiliams also scored in double figures with 17 points, 9-of-9 from the charity stripe. Senior Terah Harness scored in double figures for the second straight game with 10 points, including three makes from beyond the arc, and Noelani Cornfield stuffed the stat sheet, scoring seven points to go with six rebounds and seven assists.
The Bulls are led offensively by Watson who was named First-Team All-MAC and ranks in the top 20 nationally in total points (719), points per game (20.5), field goals made (273) and attempted (619). Lewis-Williams, a Second-Team All-MAC selection, is averaging 13.4 points per game while leading the team in rebounding (5.4 rpg) and Cornfield, who was named to the MAC All-Defensive Team, is also averaging in double figures at 10.6 ppg, while leading the team and ranking 15th nationally in assists per game (5.8) and 11th in total assists (197).
Cleveland State enters Wednesday's game with a 27-9 overall record after defeating Purdue Fort Wayne 76-65 in the Great 8. This is the second WNIT appearance and fourth straight 20+ win season for CSU. The Vikings are balanced offensively with four players averaging in double figures, led by Horizon League Player of the Year Mickayla Perdue who is averaging 20.0 points per game She has recorded 20 20-point performances and ranks 11th nationally in total points (721). Second-Team and All-Defensive team honoree Jordana Reisma is averaging 14.8 ppg and four-time All-League Destiny Leo (10.9 ppg) and Sara Guerreiro (10.6 ppg, 7.6 rpg) are also averaging in double figures. Reisma leads the nation in field goal percentage (.677).
As a team the Vikings led the league in rebounding (37.9) and rebound margin (+6.5) and have outrebounded its opponents 27 times this year. They rank ninth nationally in free throws made per game (16.3) and are 12th in field goal percentage (.471), including 12 games where they've shot 50% or better from the floor.
The winner of Wednesday's game will advance to the championship game where they will face the winner of Troy and Illinois State on Saturday, April 5 at 5pm on CBS Sports Network. Location to be determined.
