Bulls Defeat Bowling Green in MAC Opener

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team (14-2, 1-0 MAC) opened Mid-American Conference play with a 4-3 win over Bowling Green at the Perrysburg Tennis Center on Sunday afternoon.
The Bulls took the doubles point as Liv Roestel and Blanca Berges won 6-3 at third doubles and Esmee Andresen and Maria Glowacka followed with a 6-3 victory of their own at the first position to give UB a 1-0 lead in the match.
Buffalo then picked up three straight victories in singles action as Andresen won 6-4, 6-4 at first singles, Glowacka battled to a 6-4, 7-5 win at second singles and Julia Laspro clinched the match for UB with a 6-2, 6-4 victory at the fourth position.
Up next, Buffalo will return to action on Friday, March 21 as they host Toledo at 12pm.
