Berges Named MAC Singles Player of the Week

BUFFALO, NY - University at Buffalo women's tennis freshman Blanca Berges was named the Mid-American Conference Singles Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
It is the first weekly honor for Berges and the second overall for the Bulls this season.
Berges came up big for the Bulls as she clinched match point with a 4-6, 6-2, 7-5 victory at fifth singles to help lead Buffalo to a massive win over Colorado State on Friday afternoon. With the weekend results, the Madrid, Spain native improves to 10-2 on the season.
Berges and the Bulls return to action on Saturday, March 1 as they host Cleveland State at Miller Tennis Center at 1pm.
