
Women’s Tennis Signs Annabelle Ganescu

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo women's tennis head coach Kristen Maines has announced the signing of Annabelle Ganescu to the roster for the 2026-27 season.
A native of Toronto, Ontario, Ganescu comes to Buffalo with stellar results at both the national and international level. In singles action, she reached the quarterfinals of the J100 Burlington tournament and was a semifinalist at the J30 Barbardos tournament, where she also advanced to the finals of the doubles draw. A top player in Canada, Ganescu is coming off a doubles semifinal appearance at the U18 Canadian Nationals. She earned a bronze medal at the U18 Ontario Provincials, was a finalist at the J30 Winnipeg championship, and advanced to the semifinal round in doubles at the J100 Quebec City event.
Maines on Ganescu: "We're very excited that Annabelle chose to stay close to home. She will make an immediate impact within our team, and her work ethic aligns perfectly with our team culture both athletically and academically."
