Bulls Fall to Syracuse on Friday

ATHENS, Ga. – The University at Buffalo softball team (1-5, 0-0 MAC) started the second day of the 22nd Annual Georgia Classic against the Syracuse Orange on Friday morning, 7-0.
Emily Gorman started the game off with a single. Abbey Nagel walked to put runners on first and second, but a pair of strikeouts ended the inning. In the bottom half, Syracuse scored a pair of runs on 3 hits.
In the third inning, Gorman earned her second hit of the day with a single to right, but the Bulls couldn't capitalize. The Orange padded their lead in on an RBI single to make it 3-0.
Syracuse added 3 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning on 3 hits stranding on base runner.
A solo home run by Syracuse made it a 7-0 ballgame in the fifth inning. There would be no offense the rest of the day by either team as Syracuse won, 7-0.
Gorman led the Bulls with 2 hits as Isabella Smithson and Talynn Williams each had a hit.
The Bulls are back in action tomorrow when they play Utah Valley and App State at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.
