Bulls Host Bowling Green on Saturday Afternoon

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo men's basketball team is set to host the Bowling Green Falcons on Saturday afternoon. The game will tip-off at 2 p.m. on ESPN+ with Paul Peck and UB Wall of Famer Turner Battle on the call. Josh Whetzel and Bob Gaughan can be heard on Buffalo 1520/Rochester 1280 or on the Varsity Network App.

LAST TIME OUT
The Bulls took down the Northern Illinois Huskies on Tuesday evening, 73-67. lost to the Georgia State Panthers on Saturday afternoon, 80-75. Buffalo nearly led wire-to-wire as they held the lead for 37:31. Tyson Dunn scored a game-high 22 points with 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Noah Batchelor scored 16 points to go with his game-high 9 rebounds. Ryan Sabol and Tim Oboh scored 11 points each to round out Buffalo's double-digit scorers. Tuesday marked Tyson Dunn's fourth 20-point MAC game this season, good for the third most in the conference.

ABOUT THE SERIES
This will be the 50^th all-time meeting between the Bulls and Falcons. Buffalo leads the all-time series, 25-24. In conference play, the series is tied at 24 wins apiece. Buffalo Head Coach George Halcovage III is 0-2 against Bowling Green as Head Coach Todd Simon is 2-0 against the Bulls.

The Bulls are 226-239 (.486) all-time in MAC games. In home MAC games, the Bulls are 135-97 (.584).

• Noah Batchelor has the eighth-best rebound per game average in MAC play with 6.36.

• Tyson Dunn's has been an All-MAC player as he's averaging 14.27 ppg (18th), 6.09 apg (1st), 1.64 spg (T-7th) and 2.27 made threes per game (T-5th) in conference play.

• Despite having only seven games left in the regular season, the Bulls will play games across four states: New York (4), Indiana (1), Michigan (1) and Ohio (1).

• The Bulls recorded just 11 fouls at Northern Illinois, their fewest against a Division I program since Nov. 22, 2024, when the Bulls had 9 against Morgan State. Buffalo is 6-0 this season when they have less than 15 fouls against.

• This season, Ryan Sabol has made at least 3 three-pointers in 14 of the 24 games. In his career, he has made 132 three-pointers. He's moving up the program's all-time three-pointers made list as he's tied with Sean Smiley (2005-10) for 10^th all-time.

• Ryan Sabol has made 70 three-pointers on the season that's second in the MAC and 45^th in the country. His 2.92 three-pointers per game is second in the MAC and 44^th in the nation. He is shooting 37.0% from deep on the season, good for 92^nd in college basketball and second in the MAC.

• After just 55 games played, Ryan Sabol is 75^th in Buffalo's all-time scorers list with 624 points. He has scored a team-high 373 points on the season. He's one of the best scorers in the conference as his 15.5 points per game is seventh in the MAC.

• Tyson Dunn is up to 138 assists on the season. He is nearing the all-time assist leaders list in Buffalo history as he needs 15 assists to tie Shannon Evans (2014-15) and Jarod Oldham (2013-14) for most assists in a single season. He's 28th in the country and first in the MAC in total assists. His 5.8 assists per game is 31^st in all of college basketball and the best mark in the MAC.

• The Bulls are 6-0 on the season when they score at least 80 points.
