BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo track and field program is beginning the indoor season at Houghton University and Boston University this Friday and Saturday. The action begins at the Houghton December Classic on Friday at 3:30 p.m., then continuing at Boston University's Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener on Saturday.
The Bulls enter the indoor season with 71 returning student-athletes and 18 newcomers.
The Buffalo men have 27 returners and 14 incoming athletes. Five of the 27 returners earned All-MAC First Team honors following the 2025 Mid-American Conference Indoor Championships. Michael Parks enters his senior season after winning the 60-meter hurdles event with a finals time of 8.05 seconds. Vincent Guaresimo, Aidan Norris, Fernando Sanchez and Collin Stafford all return to action following a win in the men's distance medley relay at last year's indoor conference championships. The four combined to finish the event with a time of 10:00.84. Guaresimo, Norris and Stafford all enter their sophomore season.
The Buffalo women are returning 44 student-athletes, with four newcomers rounding out the program's roster. 36 of the 44 returning women are sophomores or juniors. The young program will look to build on its success from last season, where seven underclassmen performances entered the program's all-time top 10 for their respective indoor events.
