Bulls Travel to Toledo to Close 2024 Campaign

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo softball team (16-29, 7-15 MAC) will travel to Toledo, Ohio to face the Toledo Rockets (22-21, 12-10 MAC) for a three-game series to close the 2024 season. The series will begin on Saturday with a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. The series will wrap up on Sunday at 1 p.m. with coverage available on ESPN+.
The Bulls are 16-18 (.471) all-time against the Rockets. The Bulls have won two of the last three meetings.
Buffalo enters the weekend with a 16-29 record and are 7-15 in MAC play. On Wednesday evening at Canisius, the Bulls split their doubleheader against the Golden Griffins. In the first game, Alexis Lucyshyn finished with 12 strikeouts that propelled her to reach 500 career strikeouts. She became just the third Bull in program history to reach this milestone. The Bulls are being led offensively by Lucyshyn with a .304 batting average and 27 RBIs. Madison Fernimen leads the team with 43 hits and 28 runs scored. Mia Mitchell has hit the long ball eight times on the season.
In the circle, Lucyshyn is 9-13 with a 3.47 ERA as she has struck out 158 batters in 135.1 innings pitched.
The Rockets are 22-21 on the season and hold a 12-10 record in conference play. Offensively, they're led by Sidney Griffith who holds a .389 batting average with 51 hits while scoring 30 runs. She isn't the only player with at last 50 hits and 30 runs scored as Eli Enriquez is hitting .358 with 53 hits and 34 runs scored. Sophia Knight has a 3.17 ERA and is 12-10 in the circle.
