Bulls Head to DeKalb for Three-Game Series Against the Huskies

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo softball team (13-24, 5-11 MAC) will head to the Midwest to play the Northern Illinois Huskies (12-27, 5-12 MAC) in DeKalb, Ill. for a three-game series. First pitch for Saturday's doubleheader will be at 2 p.m. ET. Sunday's action will begin at 1 p.m. ET.
The Bulls are 16-29 (.356) all-time against the Huskies. The Bulls and Huskies have split their last six meetings.
Buffalo enters the weekend with a 13-24 record and are 5-11 in MAC play. On Tuesday, the Bulls split their doubleheader against the Kent State Golden Flashes. UB won the second game of the day, 2-1. The Bulls are being led offensively by Madison Fernimen with a .282 batting average, 33 hits and 22 runs scored. Mia Mitchell has hit the long ball six times on the season. Alexis Lucyshyn leads the team with 22 RBIs.
In the circle, Lucyshyn is 8-10 with a 3.08 ERA as she has struck out 130 batters in 111.1 innings pitched.
