
Bulls Drop Double Header at St. Bonaventure

OLEAN, N.Y. — The University at Buffalo softball team (6-18, 0-0 MAC) fell to the St. Bonaventure Bonnies (4-13, 0-3 Atlantic 10) in their midweek doubleheader on Tuesday.
The Bulls dropped game one of the double header, 3-0 against the Bonnies. St. Bonaventure scored in the bottom of the first for the eventual game winning run.
The Bonnie's added to their tally in the bottom of the second on a passed ball.
Buffalo surrendered another run in the fifth on an RBI double.
The Bulls only captured two hits behind Alexis Lucyshyn and Abbey Nagel efforts.
Buffalo's offensive struggles continued in game two as they could not string together hits. The Bulls outhit the Bonnies, 8-4, but gave up six runs to their lone run.
Lily Lauck led the offensive attack with three hits. Madison Fernimen drove in Buffalo's only run on a single to center field. The Bulls couldn't add more runs in the fourth inning as they had three runners left on.
The Bonnies' offense exploded in the later stages of the game as they scored three runs in both the fifth and sixth innings. The Bulls eventually lost, 6-1.
The Bulls are back in action on Friday at noon as they open MAC play against Toledo. First pitch is at noon at D'Youville.
