Bulls Drop 4-3 Decision to Cleveland State

BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo women's tennis team dropped its contest against Cleveland State on Friday afternoon, 4-3.
The Vikings took the doubles point with victories at one and three. Reigning MAC singles player of the week Azra Deniz Comlek teamed with Deanne Choo for a 6-0 win at second doubles.
In singles action, Cleveland State took matches at one, three and six. Basak Akbas gave the Bulls a 6-4, 6-4 win at second doubles while Comlek followed with a straight set 6-2, 6-2 win at third. Also earning a singles point was Ambre Amat who earned a 6-0, 6-4 win fifth singles. Gabriella Akopyan and Mariana Carvajal Torres both forced a third set at fourth and sixth singles, respectively but were unable to close out their matches.
The Bulls are back in action at Miller Tennis Center tomorrow with a doubleheader against Rochester and Niagara beginning at 12:30pm.
