Williams And Segu To Take Part In NBA Summer League

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo men's basketball program will be well represented when NBA Summer League action begins this week as graduating seniors Jeenathan Williams and Ronaldo Segu both inked deals with NBA teams. Williams signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Utah Jazz, while Segu received a summer league invite with the Memphis Grizzlies.
Both the Jazz and Grizzlies will begin play on Tuesday July 5 as part of the Salt Lake City Summer League. Segu and the Grizzlies will face the Philadelphia 76ers at 7pm, followed by Williams and the Jazz against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Action will continue with games on July 6, and on July 7, which is the final day, Williams and Segu will meet up at 8pm EST in the final game of the tournament. Summer League action will then continue in Las Vegas from July 7-17.
Both Williams and Segu were All-MAC selections this past season, finishing as the top two scorers on the team. Williams added NABC and USBWA All-District honors and both players finished their Buffalo careers as 1,000 point scorers.
