
Bulls Close Out Weekend Play

MUNCIE, IN – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team finished out weekend action on Sunday with a 5-2 loss at Ball State. UB picked up a pair of impressive wins in singles action.
The Cardinals began the afternoon with 6-4 wins at second and third doubles. UB's first doubles team of Cheng Tang and Yu-Shiang Huang led 5-4 when play was stopped.
Wins at five and six singles put the Cardinals up 3-0 and then Buffalo got on board as Tang scored a 7-6, 6-2 win at one. The Bulls pulled even closer following a 7-6, 7-5 win from Finn Macnamara at fourth singles, but the Bulls were unable to pull any closer.
Ball State clinched the match on a close 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 win at two and won the final match at third singles 7-6, 7-6 following a pair of tiebreakers.
UB remains on the road next weekend for matches at Western Michigan (Friday) and Northern Illinois (Sunday).
