BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team will face its third Ivy League foe of the year on Friday afternoon as the Bulls travel to Ithaca to face Cornell at 3pm.
UB has already faced Penn and Yale this season, including a matchup with the Bulldogs just last week. In that contest, Buffalo had success in doubles, winning the contest at third doubles courtesy of Finn Macnamara and Greg Hastings. The Bulls also took the match at second doubles into a tiebreaker before falling.
Cornell has opened the year 4-0, which includes 7-0 sweeps of Fordham and St. Bonaventure. The Big Red also have wins over Drake and Penn State. They are led by Alafia Ayeni, who was ranked #18 nationally in singles in the most recent rankings from the ITA.
The Bulls are in a stretch that will see them play their first nine matches away from home.
