BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo men's basketball team opens up its final week of the regular season on Tuesday night when the Bulls host MAC-leading Toledo at Alumni Arena. Following a perfect month of February, the Bulls enter the game on a nine-game winning streak.
The Bulls look to play spoiler as Toledo can clinch at least a share of the MAC regular season title with a win. As the final week begins, four MAC teams, including Buffalo, are still in contention for the regular season crown.
Buffalo is coming off back-to-back wins against Northern Illinois, including a 70-60 victory on Saturday. Following the week, senior Jeenathan Williams was named the MAC Co-Player of the Week. Williams enters the game with 1,425 points, good for ninth in school history. He is just 11 points away from eighth and former teammate Javon Graves, who has 1,436 points.
Tuesday night will mark senior day for the Bulls as they honor five members who have all scored over 1,000 points in their careers. Keishawn Brewton scored 1,243 points at Chipola and Coastal Carolina before coming to UB and now has 1,459 for his career. Maceo Jack has 1,139 points between his time with Buffalo and George Washington. Jeenathan Williams, Ronaldo Segu, and Josh Mballa have all scored over 1,000 points in a UB uniform.
