Bulls Drop 5-2 Decision To UAB

FT. MYERS, FL – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team took the doubles point on Saturday afternoon but grabbed just one match in singles as the Bulls fell to UAB, 5-2.
Cheng Tang and Yu-Shiang Huang won 6-2 at second doubles and Greg Hastings and Finn Macnamara won 6-4 at third doubles as the Bulls got out to the early 1-0 lead.
In singles action, Tang won at second singles as he outlasted Athanasios Spyropoulos in just over two hours with a 7-6, 6-3 victory. Huang won his opening set at fifth singles but was forced to retire in the third set.
Macnamara also had a marathon contest as he played for just under two and a half hours at third singles. He lost his first set 6-4 but came back to win the second 7-6 before falling in the super tiebreaker.
UB will remain in Ft. Myers tomorrow when the Bulls host Florida Gulf Coast at 12pm.
