Bulls Host MAC Championship Rematch Friday Night

BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo men's basketball team returns home on Friday night, hosting Ohio in a rematch of last year's Mid-American Conference Championship game. The Bulls had their four-game winning streak snapped on Tuesday night by Toledo, while the Rockets were responsible for ending Ohio's nine-game winning streak last Friday.
Senior Jeenathan Williams had his third straight 20-point game on Tuesday night, finishing with 24 points against the Rockets. His 1,229 career points put him in 17th place on Buffalo's all-time scoring list and he is just six points shy of Rodney Pierce (2007-10) for 16th place.
The Bulls and Bobcats have many fierce battles over the years, including twice facing each other in the MAC Championship game (2005, 2021). Last season, Ohio won the meeting in Buffalo 76-75 on a late basket from Dwight Wilson. The Bulls then went to Ohio and had one of their biggest wins of the year, an 86-66 victory in Athens.
