Franz Earns MAC Diver of the Week Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced Swimmer and Diver of the Week Honors on Wednesday afternoon. Junior diver Victoria Franz earned Women's MAC Diver of the Week honors.
Franz had a dominant weekend at the UB Diving Invite as she won both the 1 and 3-meter dives with 22 competitors. Friday afternoon she cruised to a first-place finish in the 1-meter dive with a prelim score of 305.55. She then improved her score to 314.10 in the finals winning the event by nearly 45 points. On Saturday afternoon she scored 325.40 points in the 3-meter prelims and went on to score 340.55 in the finals, winning by over 60 points.
This is the fourth time she has earned the honor this season and seventh in her collegiate career.
Buffalo returns to the pool on Saturday, Jan. 22 as they host MAC rival Miami (OH) (2-2, 1-1 MAC) at 11 a.m. for Senior Day.
