
Bulls Close Out Non-Conference Action At Quest For The Crown

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo volleyball team will finish its non-conference schedule this weekend as the Bulls are set to take part in the Quest For The Crown, hosted by Old Dominion University.
Buffalo opens action on Friday morning when the Bulls face Norfolk State and then continue action at 7pm on Friday against the host Monarchs. UB will finish out the weekend on Saturday at 10am against Radford.
The Bulls enter the weekend with a 5-4 record after going 2-1 this past weekend at the WNY Invite. Following the weekend, the Bulls swept the MAC Weekly honors as sophomore Milla Malik was named the MAC East Offensive Player of the week, while freshman libero Hannah Jacoby was named Defensive Player of the Week. Fellow freshman Mandy Leigh was named the MAC East Setter of the Week.
Norfolk State enters the weekend with a 3-5 record having most recently played at the Tiger Invitational hosted by Towson. The Spartans picked up their third win of the year with a 3-1 victory over Temple.
ODU enters the weekend with a 4-5 record after the Monarch went 2-1 last weekend at the Liberty Invitational with wins over Liberty and Purdue Fort Wayne. Former UB assistant coach Adam McLamb currently serves as an assistant coach for Old Dominion.
Buffalo's final opponent Radford is 2-7 on the season having competed at the Coastal Carolina Tournament last week. The Highlanders picked up their second win of the year with a 3-1 victory over UNC Wilmington.
