
Track and Field Wrap Up their Weekend in Geneseo

GENESEO, N.Y. - The University at Buffalo track and field team wrapped up their weekend in Geneseo as the two-day meet came to a close on Saturday evening. Several Bulls made huge impacts for the team.
Molly McCreedy had her capitalized on her season opener as she won the shot put by over four feet with a toss of 47'-9.75" (14.57-meters). She would then break the Geneseo facility record in the discus with a measurement of 148'-4" (45.23-meters) for the win.
Earnie Burapan won the pole vault for the women with a season best mark of 3.70-meters.
The women swept the podium in the 1,500-meter run with Jade Dennis winning the event in 4:54.26. Alanna Kramer ran a personal best in 4:56.47 with Lily Meek running a season best in 4:58.98. Freshman Evan Hilbert led the men with a personal best and second place finish in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:00.68. Alex Hislop took fourth in a personal best time of 4:03.60.
Despite unusually hot temperatures for early April, Riley Jones took home the 5,000-meter run title on her birthday in 18:04.99 and freshman Sean O'Brien set a personal best winning the 5,000-meter run for the men with a time of 15:07.32.
Chris Nowak led from the gun in the 800-meter run as he ran a very strong race which would lead to a victory. Nowak would win with a time of 1:55.02. Sydney March had a very strong season opener in the 800-meter run in 2:15.32.
The men's pole vault team would see their first action of the season on Saturday. Jason Farrell won the even with a height of 4.55-meters. Finishing in second was Dustin Meyer with 4.30-meters.

UP NEXT
The Bulls will host the UB Invitational on Saturday, April 17 at UB Stadium. The all day invite will mark the second of three meets the Bulls will host this season.
