Jillian Lawton Named MAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced Wednesday afternoon that senior Jillian Lawton has been named the MAC Women's Swimmer of the Week.
Lawton helped the Bulls to a dominant 175-68 win over Duquesne this past weekend. Lawton won the 50-yard freestyle setting a new Duquesne pool record of 23.53 seconds. She also took home first place in the 50-yard butterfly in 25.25 seconds. To close out the day, she helped the Bulls to a first place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:36.26.
This marks Lawton's second MAC Women's Swimmer of the Week honor, her first came on Jan. 15, 2020.

Buffalo returns to the pool on Friday as they host Akron. The dual meet is set to start at 5 p.m. at the Alumni Arena Pool and Natatorium.
