Toni Naccarella Named MAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced Wednesday afternoon that junior Toni Naccarella has been named the MAC Women's Swimmer of the Week.
Naccarella was a crucial part of UB's win over the reigning MAC Champion Akron Zips on Friday evening. She would help the team receive 33 of their 169 points. Naccarella claimed second in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:53.70. That would be the worst position she'd place on the evening as she would see gold the rest of the night. In the 50 freestyle she won with a time of 23.12 seconds. She would end up winning the 100 freestyle by nearly a second and a half with a time of 50.85 seconds. To close out the dual meet, Naccarella was the anchor in the 400 freestyle relay where the team was in second place heading into the final 100 yards. She would help the Bulls win by .60 seconds and clinch the victory.
The Bulls have earned this honor in back-to-back weeks as Jillian Lawton won it a week ago.
