
Swimming & Diving Earn Weekly MAC Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference announced Friday evening that Toni Naccarella has earned Co-MAC Swimmer of the Week honors along with teammate Victoria Franz earning MAC Diver of the Week.
Toni Naccarella won all four events she swam on Saturday afternoon in a 198-102 win over Toledo. Individually she won the 50 freestyle in 23.22-seconds along with the 100 freestyle in 50.87-seconds. She was the team's anchor in the 200 medley relay as she helped the team to a winning time of 1:43.10.
The senior swimmer also helped the team to a win in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:28.72.
Junior Victoria Franz had a dominant day in the diving well Saturday afternoon against Toledo as she won both the 1 and 3-meter dives. Franz scored an impressive 331.88 points the 3-meter dive, outscoring second place by over 75 points. The junior diver also went on to score 309.60 in the 1-meter dive winning by over 50 points. Franz has now won this honor in back-to-back weeks.
Buffalo returns to the pool on Saturday, Nov. 6 as they travel to Athens, Ohio to face Ohio at 11 a.m.
