
Bulls Conclude Play At Cleveland State Invitational

CLEVELAND, OH – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team continued fall action this weekend at the Cleveland State Invitational.
In doubles action, two Buffalo teams made it to the main draw semifinals. Finn Macnamara and Daniils Snaiders earned an opening round bye and then they followed that up with a pair of 6-2 victories before falling 6-4 in the semis. On the other side of the bracket was the duo of Cheng Tang and Greg Hastings, who won three matches to reach the semifinals. They won their first match 6-4 followed by a 6-3 win and then a 6-2 win in the quarterfinals. They also fell 6-3 in the semis.
In singles action, Tang picked up a couple of wins as he earned an opening round bye and then picked up a 6-2, 6-4 win and a 6-3, 6-4 win before losing in the quarterfinals. Macnamara also made it to the quarterfinals with a 2-6, 6-2, 10-8 win and a 6-3, 7-6 (8) victory.
The remaining Bulls competing would find themselves in the singles back draw where Hastings came away with a final victory in the back-back draw as he defeated his teammate Tom Owen 6-1, 6-3.
Buffalo will conclude the fall season this upcoming weekend when they head to Kalamazoo, MI for the MAC Singles and Doubles Invite.
