Bulls Drop Weekend Finale

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo volleyball team lost its final match of the weekend on Saturday afternoon as the Bulls fell to Ohio, 3-0.
The Bobcats took the contest 25-21, 25-16, 25-15 as Ohio hit .268 for the match, while the Bulls struggled offensively, hitting.081. UB had its best opportunity in the opening set, trailing just 22-21 late, but the Bobcats scored the final three points to take the set.
Sophomore Milla Malik led the Bulls with 12 kills, while Courtney Okwara added eight. Maria Futey finished with four kills and Mandy Leigh and Stacia Gollogly each had three. Leigh added 24 assists.
Defensively, senior Kyndal Bacon led the Bulls with 15 digs, while freshman Hannah Jacoby added 14. Malik completed the double-double with 10 digs. UB added 6.0 total blocks, led by four from Olivia DeBortoli.
UB will hit the road for their next four matches, beginning on Friday night at Kent State.
