Women’s Tennis Returns To Action This Weekend

BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo women's tennis team returns to action this weekend as the Bulls host a pair of matches at Miller Tennis Center, beginning on Friday afternoon. UB will face Wright State in the opening match and then will meet in-state rival Binghamton on Saturday.
UB split its action last weekend as the Bulls came away with a 6-1 victory over Lehigh before falling 5-2 to NJIT. Following the weekend, sophomore Pia Schwarz was named the MAC Singles Player of the Week as she improved to 8-1 at first singles. Overall, Buffalo is now 8-2 on the season.
Wright State enters action still looking for its victory of the season as the Raiders are 0-8 on the year, most recently falling to Cincinnati last Friday.
The Bulls will then turn their attention to Binghamton, who has a pretty busy schedule in Western New York over the next two days. The Bearcats have a pair of matches set for Friday as they will face Northern Illinois at 11 am, followed by a match against Wright State later in the day Friday. Buffalo and Binghamton then square off at 12:30 on Saturday.
Binghamton enters the weekend with a 5-9 record, including a pair of wins last weekend Morgan State and Bucknell. The Bearcats also own a 4-3 victory over Eastern Michigan earlier this year.
All matches this weekend will take place at the Miller Tennis Center which is located at 5959 Sheridan Drive, Williamsville, NY 141221.
