
Bulls Fall At West Virginia, 5-2

MORGANTOWN, WV β The University at Buffalo women's tennis team suffered their first loss of the season on Friday afternoon as UB fell at West Virginia, 5-2.
It was a tight contest in doubles as two of the three matches went into a tiebreaker. After West Virginia won at first doubles, 6-2, the Mountaineers won in a tiebreaker at two.Β Buffalo won at third doubles as Gabriella Akopyan and Ambre Amat won, 7-6 (3).
West Virginia clinched the matches with singles victories at two, three, and four to clinch the match, but the Bulls struck through at first singles as sophomore Pia Schwarz claimed a three-set victory with a 5-7, 6-3, 11-9 victory. UB closed out the match with a win at sixth singles as sophomore Nikoleta Antoniou-Karademitrou won in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4.
The Bulls remain on the road Saturday afternoon when they travel to Youngstown State at 2:30 pm.
