
Bulls have Liftoff in Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio – The University at Buffalo women's swimming and diving (3-2, 3-1 MAC) claimed their third victory on the season. UB defeated the Toledo Rockets (5-5, 0-3 MAC) by a score of 192-108. This marks Head Coach Andy Bashor's 80th dual meet win in his career.
Buffalo had a terrific day in the pool as the Bulls won 12 of the 16 events. To start the day, the team of Nicole Roitenberg, Katie Pollock, Jillian Lawton and Antonia Naccarella won the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:43.87. The Bulls' second-best time on the season.
Naccarella (51.98) and Katelyn Burns (52.04) finished first and second in the 100 free. Brittney Beetcher won the 400 IM in 4:26.20, her second-best time on the season.
Roitenberg had a day as she won two individual events and was part of the winning 200 medley relay team. Roitenberg won the 100 and 200 back. She finished the 100 back in 55.55 while completing the 200 back with her season-best time of 2:00.72.
In the diving well, UB claimed the podium in the 3-meter dive as Victoria Franz (279.75), Patricia Arceri (256.35) and Journi Northorp (236.40) finished first, second and third.

The Bulls will host MAC preseason favorite Akron and Duquesne on Saturday, Feb. 1. at 1 p.m. in the Alumni Arena Natatorium.
